Privacy notice

Get Indie Apps is a directory, not an advertising business. There is no profile to build and no data to sell, so there is very little to collect. Here is all of it.

Get Indie Apps is operated by RGS Yazilim ve Bilisim Sistemleri LTD STI., who is the data controller for the information described below.

What we store

• App listings. Public store metadata for the apps listed here, plus the private manage token generated when a listing is created.
• Submitter email — optional. If you give one when submitting, we use it to send your manage link and to reach you about that listing. Leave it blank and we will not ask again.
• Newsletter email. Only if you type it into the signup box. One short email a month; unsubscribe in one click and the address is deleted.
• Aggregate counts. How many times a listing page was viewed and how many times its store links were clicked. These are plain counters attached to the app, not to you.
• Billing details for Featured. Only if you buy a Featured placement: the name, email address, phone number and billing address you type at checkout, the IP address the payment was started from, and the order itself — amount, date, which app, and whether it was paid. We need them to take the payment, issue your invoice and handle refunds. Your card details are typed into PayTR’s form and go straight to PayTR; we never see or store a card number.

What we do not do

• No third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, and no ad pixels. The only promotion on the site is for our own ASO tool, ASOnest, and it is a plain link: no ASOnest script runs here, and the link only tells ASOnest that the visit came from Get Indie Apps.
• No selling, renting or sharing of email addresses.
• No advertising profiles, and no data sold or handed to ad networks.

Analytics

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, and only after you have agreed to it. It records which pages are opened and a small set of actions — an app page viewed, a store button clicked, a search run, a listing submitted — so we can see which listings actually send traffic to developers. We never attach your email address, your name or anything you typed into a form to those events.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes data on Google’s infrastructure under Google’s privacy terms. IP addresses are used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention and are not retained in a log tied to browsing history. If you would rather not be counted, any tracker blocker or Google’s own opt-out add-on stops it, and nothing on the site breaks when it is blocked.

Cookie settings

Nothing is loaded until you say yes. Until you accept, no Google script runs on the page and no analytics cookie exists; if you decline, we delete any that were already set. Your answer is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and you can change it here at any time:

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit apart from the next; they are the only cookies we set on the public site. PayTR’s payment form, which only loads once you start a checkout, may set cookies of its own that it needs to process the payment securely. The password-protected admin area sets a single session cookie so a moderator stays signed in. That is the entire list — nothing is used for advertising.

External links and images

App icons and screenshots are loaded from Apple and Google servers, and store buttons link out to the App Store and Google Play. Those companies have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave this site.

Who else processes it

• PayTR (PayTR Ödeme ve Elektronik Para Kuruluşu A.Ş., Türkiye) — processes the card payment for Featured. It receives the billing details above, your IP address and your card details, and is a controller in its own right for the payment and its fraud checks; see paytr.com for their privacy policy.
• Hosting — serving the site and storing the database.
• Email delivery — sending manage links and the newsletter.
• Google Tag Manager — delivering the measurement tags described above.

Other than PayTR, each acts as a processor on our instructions. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and no third party is allowed to use it for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

• Listing data and the submitter email: while the listing exists, then deleted with it.
• Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe, which deletes it.
• Orders, billing details and invoices: as long as tax and commercial law requires, typically ten years. They are kept even if the listing is deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. Ask and we will tell you what is stored against your listing or email, correct it, or delete it. Deleting a listing removes its submitter email with it. Requests go to a human, are answered within 30 days and usually within a few, and we do not charge for them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
