Good indie apps are hard to find. The App Store and Google Play are built to surface what already sells, which means a careful app from a two-person studio competes with a marketing budget it does not have. Get Indie Apps is a small, deliberate counterweight: 927 listings so far, 648 on iOS and 490 on Android, and a few more every day.
How a listing works
You paste an App Store or Google Play link. We read the public store metadata — icon, screenshots, description, category, rating — and build a page for it. No account, no review queue, no waiting. The page goes live immediately with its own URL, structured data and OpenGraph image, so it can be shared and indexed on day one.
We also search the stores every day and add a few apps that pass an indie check: not from a large publisher, not from a developer with a long catalogue, not already a mass-market hit. Indie apps are the point, but they are not a gate — any app can be submitted.
Listings stay free forever. We do not take a cut of anything you sell, and no third-party ads appear on it. The only promotion you will see there is a small, labelled card for ASOnest, the ASO tool made by the same team.
What we charge for
Exactly one thing: the Featured placement, at $49 for 30 days. It buys a larger card on the homepage and a spot at the top of the app's category page — nothing else. It does not change search results, the order of the full app list, or an app's data and rating, and featured listings are marked as such. It is a single payment — there is no subscription to cancel.
What we will not do
- Sell your email address, or anyone else's.
- Run third-party ads or affiliate-swap your store links.
- Charge developers to correct or remove their own listing.
- Load analytics before you agree to it, or use ad pixels and cross-site tracking.
Editing or removing a listing
Every submission gets a private manage link. Keep it — it is how you edit the tagline, add the other platform, or hide the listing. Lost it, found your app added by our daily search, or want a listing taken down entirely? Email support@getindieapps.com; removals need no reason and we do not argue about them.

- Get Indie Apps is an independent directory built to make apps from solo developers and small teams easier to find. It lists iPhone, iPad and Android apps with their icon, screenshots, description, rating, price and links to the App Store and Google Play.
- What counts as an indie app?
- An app built and published by an individual or a small team rather than a large company. In practice that means the people who made it also answer the support email.
- Can apps from larger companies be listed?
- Yes. Indie apps are what the directory exists to surface, but it does not block anyone: any App Store or Google Play app can be submitted. Only the daily automated search of the stores is limited to apps that pass an indie check.
- How much does it cost to list an app?
- Nothing. Listing is free and permanent. There is no account to create, no review queue and no commission on anything the app earns.
- What is the paid Featured placement?
- Featured is the only paid product: for $49 an app sits for 30 days above the regular listings on the home page and in its category. It is purely positional. It never changes an app's data, rating or whether it is listed at all. It is a single payment, not a subscription.
- Where does the app data come from?
- Directly from the Apple App Store and Google Play. Whether an app is submitted or found by the daily search of the stores, its icon, screenshots, description, category, price and rating are imported from those public sources rather than written by the site.
- How do I submit my app?
- Paste your App Store or Google Play URL on the submit page. The listing is generated and published immediately, with its own canonical URL, structured data and social share image.
- Are the rankings paid or sponsored?
- No. Apart from the clearly labelled Featured slots, ordering comes from recency and rating. There are no third-party ads, no affiliate links on store buttons and no pay-to-be-listed tier.
