TypeCase Ledger

Stop searching every drawer for the type you know you own. TypeCase Ledger is a private catalog for physical letterpress type, built for printers, studios, collectors, and teaching shops on iPhone and iPad.

Put your real workspace on the map • Organize studios, cabinets, and cases by code and location. • Add more than one catalog entry to a case: typefaces, borders, ornaments, mixed type, or unidentified pieces. • Record foundry, point size, material, completeness, notes, and specimen photographs. • Take a photo in the app or choose one with Apple’s Photos picker.

Find type and plan a setting • Search names, foundries, sizes, materials, and locations across the catalog. • Keep unidentified entries together until you can identify them. • Record how many of each letter, numeral, and punctuation sort you have. A blank count means not yet checked; zero means none are present. • Enter a word or short line to see whether it can be set, which sorts are missing, or which counts are still unknown. Repeated characters are counted.

Take your catalog with you • Create a PDF catalog grouped by cabinet and case, including entries without photos. • Export the complete structured catalog as a ZIP of five UTF-8 CSV files, then share the file using the system share sheet. • Catalog data and photos stay on your device until you choose to share an export. No app account, cloud sync, ads, or analytics SDK.
