About Jewposter: Social Deduction

A Jewish reference, a circle of clues, and one player trying to blend in.

Jewposter brings Jewish life, food, holidays, and history to a shared-device social deduction game. Play with your group, get comfortable with unfamiliar references, and keep learning between rounds.

CHOOSE YOUR MIX Explore 103 prompts across eight categories: Jewish Life, Holidays, Items in a Jewish Home, Jewish Words (Jewblish), In the Synagogue, Jewish Food, Famous Jews in History, and Jewish Celebrities. Colorful category cards show your selections and word counts. Quick mixes help you jump into holidays, food, or people.

MATCH YOUR SEATS Gather 3–20 people around one iPhone or iPad. Use default names or enter your own, then drag players into clockwise seating order. Your order is saved and used when passing the phone for roles and private ballots.

START WITH CONFIDENCE Turn on Easy Mode on Home or Setup for 60 familiar prompts across all eight categories. Players who receive the secret word also see a plain-language explanation. The imposter sees the category and must bluff.

LEARN FIRST, THEN PLAY Enable Learn first to review six reference cards together before roles are dealt. The secret comes from that shortlist, so everyone starts with a shared vocabulary. Read at your own pace, then deal the roles.

A LIBRARY FOR THE REFERENCES Explore all 60 learning cards without starting a game. Search words and meanings, filter categories, and save unfamiliar references. Practice with revealable flashcards. After a round with a learning word, open its explanation again.

HOW TO PLAY • Pass the phone for private role reveals. One player gets no secret word. • Give one short clue each, discuss, and vote. • Choose private ballots or point together and record the totals. • A tie gets one runoff. Catch the imposter, and they still have one spoken guess to steal the win.

READ COMFORTABLY The interface supports your device’s text size. Compact layouts and fixed game actions reduce scrolling with large text.

FREE AND OFFLINE No account, ads, analytics, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Names, settings, recent words, and practice bookmarks stay on your device. Clear saved data in Settings whenever you like.

Disable Easy Mode and Learn first to use the full collection. Learning cards are short introductions; customs and traditions vary across Jewish communities. Best with 6–10 players.
